A Bustling Lunch Scene at Karen Blixen Coffee Garden & Cottages

The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of excitement at Karen Blixen Coffee Garden & Cottages, thanks to the influx of tourists visiting Kenya to witness the spectacular Great Migration. From July to mid-August, our restaurant has been buzzing with energy, as travelers from around the world flock to our charming garden for a taste of our renowned cuisine and a moment of relaxation amidst their adventure-filled days.

Nestled in the serene suburbs of Karen, Nairobi, Karen Blixen Coffee Garden & Cottages has always been a favorite stopover for both locals and tourists. This season, however, the migration fever has taken our lunch service to new heights. Each afternoon, the aroma of freshly prepared dishes fills the air as our culinary team works tirelessly to serve a delightful variety of meals. Guests enjoy everything from light garden salads and hearty stews to our popular grilled meats and freshly baked bread.

The vibrant chatter of guests fills the garden, adding to the ambiance that makes this place so special. Visitors fresh from the Mara, Amboseli, or Tsavo bring stories of the wild, creating a lively atmosphere of shared experiences. They come to rest and rejuvenate seeking out our shaded patio or cozy indoor seating. The warmth of the Kenyan sun, combined with the cool shade of our ancient trees, provides the perfect backdrop for a memorable lunch.

Our team has been going the extra mile to ensure each guest feels at home. The influx of tourists means our lunch hours have extended beyond the usual, and our staff has been nothing short of incredible in managing the increased demand. It’s not just about serving meals; it’s about creating an experience—a brief escape from the bustling safaris and a moment to savor the essence of Kenya.

As we continue to welcome travelers during this busy season, our focus remains on delivering exceptional service and unforgettable culinary moments. Whether it’s a quick bite before heading to the bush or a leisurely lunch soaking in the beauty of our garden, every visit to Karen Blixen Coffee Garden & Cottages is a celebration of Kenya’s vibrant culture and hospitality.

We are thrilled to be a part of your migration journey and look forward to sharing more memorable moments with all who walk through our doors. As the migration season continues, we are ready to keep the tables full, the coffee brewing, and the smiles coming. Karibu sana!
