Yesterday’s Buzz: Our Second Successful SKAL International Nairobi Event

Yesterday was a vibrant day as we proudly hosted a SKAL International Nairobi event at our venue, marking only the second time we’ve had the pleasure since opening our doors. The atmosphere was electric, buzzing with connections and collaborations among Kenya’s leading tourism professionals. It was a fantastic opportunity to witness firsthand the strength and progress of SKAL Nairobi.
This year holds a special significance for us as our very own Group Sales and Marketing Manager is serving as the Vice Chair of SKAL Nairobi. This appointment reflects their dedication and the high regard in which they are held within the local tourism community. Their active involvement underscores our commitment to fostering strong industry ties and contributing to the growth of Kenyan tourism.
SKAL Nairobi has been making remarkable strides in recent years. The club serves as a vital platform for networking, business development, and the promotion of responsible tourism practices within the region. It brings together a diverse group of individuals from hotels, tour operators, travel agencies, and other tourism-related businesses, creating a powerful network for mutual support and advancement.
We’ve seen SKAL Nairobi actively engaging in various initiatives aimed at strengthening the local tourism sector. These include:
- Regular Networking Events: Providing consistent opportunities for members to connect, share insights, and explore potential collaborations, like the successful gathering we hosted yesterday – our second such event since our establishment.
- Professional Development Programs: Organizing workshops and seminars to enhance the skills and knowledge of its members, contributing to a more professional and competitive tourism industry.
- Advocacy for Sustainable Tourism: Championing environmentally and socially responsible practices, aligning with SKAL International’s global commitment to sustainability.
- Mentorship and Support for Young Professionals: Through initiatives like “Young Skål,” the Nairobi chapter is actively involved in nurturing the next generation of tourism leaders.

SKAL Nairobi’s dedication was recognized when it was awarded the prestigious “Skal Club of the Year” for 2022-2023, a testament to its exceptional commitment and positive impact on the global travel and tourism industry. This achievement highlights the dynamism and effectiveness of the Nairobi chapter.
Our hosting of yesterday’s event, our second time welcoming the SKAL Nairobi community, further solidifies our role as a growing and supportive presence within the local tourism network. By providing a central venue for these crucial industry connections, we aim to contribute to the continued progress and success of SKAL Nairobi and the broader Kenyan tourism landscape. We look forward to witnessing and being a part of SKAL Nairobi’s ongoing journey and its positive influence on our vibrant industry.
