Karen Blixen Coffee Garden Hosts SKAL Nairobi

Yesterday was a proud moment for us at Karen Blixen Coffee Garden & Cottages, as we had the honor of hosting a prestigious SKAL International Nairobi gathering only the second time we’ve welcomed this dynamic group since opening our doors. The atmosphere was electric, filled with laughter, connections, and meaningful conversations among Kenya’s top tourism professionals.
This year, the event held deeper meaning for our team: our very own Group Sales & Marketing Manager currently serves as Vice Chair of SKAL Nairobi. Their leadership in the organization reflects both individual excellence and the trust our brand has earned within Kenya’s tourism circles.
SKAL Nairobi is not just a club; it is a movement of hospitality leaders committed to driving excellence, professionalism, and responsible tourism across the region. And they’re doing it well.
-
Networking That Builds Real Business
Regular SKAL events like the one we hosted offer tourism professionals a rare chance to connect, collaborate, and grow face to face.
-
Professional Growth Through Learning
Through seminars and workshops, SKAL equips members with up-to-date tools and insights, elevating standards across the industry.
-
Championing Sustainability
As part of SKAL International’s global mission, the Nairobi chapter actively promotes eco-conscious practices and social responsibility.
-
Investing in Future Talent
With initiatives like Young SKAL, the group mentors up-and-coming tourism professionals, shaping the next generation of leaders.
These initiatives helped SKAL Nairobi earn the title of “SKAL Club of the Year” (2022–2023) a global recognition of its impact, innovation, and unwavering dedication.

Hosting this gathering in our tranquil garden wasn’t just about providing a venue. It was about showing up for the industry, investing in connection, and helping shape the future of tourism in Kenya.
As a hospitality brand with deep historical roots and a future-forward outlook, we understand the importance of these networks. We’re committed to being more than a beautiful space we’re a partner in progress.
We’re grateful for the opportunity and excited to continue supporting SKAL Nairobi’s journey as they lead with purpose, vision, and unity.
